FABRIC MANUFACTURING
This fabric is manufactured and printed by Herbal Fab.
Herbal Fab are a small family run and GOTS certified fabric mill in North West India. They are committed to eco friendly and sustainable manufacturing of fabric.
The fabric is digitally printed, as this produces far less waste than traditional full-colour screen printing does.
Being
GOTS certified means that not only is the fabric organic (and not from seeds owned by large multinationals) but also that there is no forced or child labour, and a living wage is paid.
GARMENT MAKING
The Lottie dresses are made by Segom Pty Ltd.
Segom is a manufacturing agent and manufacturer based in Sydney. It is run by Mogie, who contracts other local makers to construct our garments, as well as making them herself.
WASHING AND PRESSING
The fabric is washed by Herbal Fab after printing. We wash a test-swatch, and calculate any shrinkage. This is incorporated into the sizing of the pattern.
When the garments are delivered to us, we cold hand wash with environmentally friendly products to pre-shrink them. We then line dry them in our garden, and iron them while watching netflix.
