The Bento bag originates from Japan and the unique design derives its value from a light-weight structure yet spacious enough to fit all your belongings.
It has a self-closing mechanism when worn over the shoulder.
As this is lovingly handmade using numerous denim material from different pairs of jeans, the shades of blue may vary slightly, however, rest assured the beauty and quality of this bag remains.
The bag is made from panels out of at least 3-4 post consumer jeans. The lining is made from beautiful post-industrial (manufacturer's off-cuts) Kurti (cotton) fabric.
It takes at least 10,000 litres of water to make a pair of jeans not including other resources required during the growing and manufacturing of this product. Up-cycling of this bag has resulted in the indirect saving of all these resources.
Our innovative, unique, 100% up-cycled denim collection partners with a company in India dedicated to zero waste practices. Our partner employs women from marginalised communities and the women are part of self-help groups and are offered training in the workshop until they are able to independently work from their home, which allows them to attend to family responsibilities.
